Psychotherapist
I’m a bicultural, Spanglish speaking, animal-loving, working class Midwesterner, licensed clinical social worker and certified death midwife. I’ve been involved in various forms of community-based social work since 2011. I’m a therapist but prefer to think of myself as an ESA or emotional support advocate. Humor, honesty, equity and empathy are traits I seek to reflect in my practice.
I am a firm believer in the idea that the person sitting across from me is the authority on their life and my role is to serve as a supportive collaborator as they work to make sense of their experience. I operate from a person-centered framework that values all life and believes in the capacity of all human beings to evolve and grow.
I have personally benefited from therapy and believe the space we cultivate together can be both powerful and meaningful.
