Sana tu alma design_edited.jpg

I’m a bilingual, bicultural, nature-loving, Mexicana, licensed clinical social worker, certified reiki practitioner and holistic therapist. I’ve been involved in the social work field since 2005. Initially working with domestic violence survivors going through legal proceedings and working on obtaining orders of protections. This experience brings me valuable experience in being able to identify red flags in relationships as well as legal knowledge on ways to support. I then had the experience of working in early childhood programs, supporting children and their families-helping identify potential delays or need for additional support while providing support to parents. Since obtaining my master's degree I provided therapy services to populations of different age ranges, presenting issues and diverse populations.

I value authenticity, compassion, and cultural humility. I create a safe, nonjudgemental space where clients feel seen, heard and respected. I believe in empowering clients to reconnect with their inner wisdom, honor their lived experiences, and navigate healing at their own pace. My approach is rooted in honesty, empathy, and a deep commitment to supporting personal growth and wellbeing.

In the therapy room you will find that I often use humor, as appropriate, and am pretty laid back. While we are doing important and heavy work, we also know that laughter tambien es medicina para el alma.

I am happy to explore any and all topics and life experiences with you:

Life transitions

Stress and anxiety

Depression

Relationship difficulties of all kinds

First Gen concerns

I’m a bicultural, Spanglish speaking, animal-loving, working class Midwesterner, licensed clinical social worker and certified death midwife. I’ve been involved in various forms of community-based social work since 2011. I’m a therapist but prefer to think of myself as an ESA or emotional support advocate. Humor, honesty, autonomy, genuine care and a welcoming presence are qualities I aim to embody and reflect in my practice.

I am a firm believer in the idea that the person sitting across from me is the authority on their life and my role is to serve as a supportive collaborator as they work to make sense of their experience. I operate from a relational, person-centered framework that values all life and believes in the capacity of all human beings to evolve and grow.

I have personally benefited from therapy and believe the space we cultivate together can be both powerful and meaningful.

I am happy to explore any and all topics and life experiences with you and will share that the following are experiences I have had my own personal encounters with and find great value in exploring with others:

  • Grief and loss in all forms

  • Life transitions

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Substance use

  • Relationship difficulties of all kinds

  • Identity navigation around bicultural/multiculturalism, class, spirituality, gender and sexual diversity

  • Caregiver fatigue
